2017 BMW 330i lease - DFW

Hi guys,

I just got this deal from a BMW dealership in the DFW area.
Am I getting a good deal? if not, can you point out the issues.
I am fairly new to car shopping and never owned a bmw before.

thanks,

$650 for a $52k 3 series isn’t a good deal. They are marking up the MF, but BMWs in general are not good leases anymore. MSDs and larger fleet discounts helped a lot before.

what would be a reasonable MF for this car?
what monthly payment is considered a good deal for 52k 3 series?

tnx

BMW is leasing terribly these days. If you can live with any other brand, run to them now. If you HAVE to have a BMW, you need to get that sale price down. 8% discount isn’t great. And play around on 3 Series threads here and see what different rebates and incentives are available that you may qualify for. That MF is marked up, on top of an already high MF, so that’s a red flag, as well. All in all, this is a pretty bad deal. If state rebates apply to you, check out the 330e. You can typically do better on those right now. But $650/mo is deep into 5-series territory.

Also hit me up for a group discount cert. But right now the best lease deals are at lexus and infiniti it looks like. Low MF and higher residuals.

I honestly don’t have to have BMW. The other brand I am looking at is Lexus IS 200t F sport.
It was just when I test drove both, the BMW’s performance was slightly better.

I am glad I didn’t sign anything. I’ll hit up the lexus dealership and see if I can get a good offer for a IS 200t F sport.

The q50 residuals tanked (5-6% drop) this month. So they’re not quite as good as they were earlier in the summer. Lexus is good and, surprisingly, Jaguar. You can get a great deal on the XE right now. Check out some of the threads on those. High $200’s too low $300’s with very minimal drive offs.

BMW leases vary, but if you find the right dealer, BMW leases are aggressive.
I just leased a 2017 BMW i3 $52K MSRP, zero down, $500 walkoff, 24 month , 10K miles / year.

Monthly with tax $229.80

that’s crazy… can you share some details on discount/incentives/promos?

oh it’s i3

Yes, BMW i3 Rex, had $9,500 in federal / state rebates along with other discounts including USAA discount

The only BMW’s that are leasing well are the i3 and e, because of the state/fed rebates. If you want a 3 Series, 330e is the only real deal to be had.

Hey Chrispbacon, long time lurker in the market for a BMW. Could you PM me for a BMW group cert? I guess I cannot initiate a pm yet as a newbie. Thanks

Edit: nevermind, I guess I can message now, sent you one.

I got this deal from a different dealership at bmw? it looks better than the first one but wanted to get your opinion.

What’s the MF for this one? The monthly is still high, really off from meeting the 1% rule. I leased a 330i a few weeks ago with an MSRP of 46k for under 400 a month. Just did first month payment and basic fees. So getting a great deal is possible. Keep negotiating!

@Whippit since the rebate is counterfeit, by using it you’ll become an accomplice to fraud.

I am not sure, however, the dealer is not willing to go down. He said he gave me the absolute best deal :joy:

however, the first bmw dealership with a car I really wanted, with a much higher MSRP of $53,000 came down to 560/mo with zero down (see first post in this thread)

so based on the 1% rule, I am currently at 1.05% of MSRP.

is that better?

lol how is the bmw certificate counterfeit? I wanna see this justification.

What resulted in them going from 650 to 560? Did they bring down the MF or took more off the selling price? That’s better, but you should still aim to go lower. If your credit is good, ask for the base MF of .00151, that one they gave you at first is crazy as others have stated. I wouldn’t settle for a payment above 500 honestly for a 3 series, especially if it’s not at least a 340 lol, but that’s me personally…

If it’s not counterfeit, why would they need to get it from you?
