New lease on same vehicle is in the high eight hundreds. Bmw no long allows msd
Good luck with transfer. Maybe you can offer to pay transfer or more in incentive.
Hey. I am not an expert, but I’d think you would need to offer a serious incentive.
You were paying $675 for a NEW car with lets say 11k miles a year (what you drove). Why would someone pay the same $675 for a used car with 9k miles a year?
If you paid transfer and offered up $3k I might be interested.
@Shaker58 unlikely you find someone on this forum at these numbers. People on this forum want a “steal” which isn’t the case here.
I would suggest putting it on swapalease. It’s going to be your fastest way to get out of the lease because you’re putting the car in front of the most people who would be interested in lease transferring a car. They try to upsell you on a bunch of more expensive options to “feature” your car on home page etc, i went with the least expensive option which was $100 to list and i got rid of my car quickly.
Also, given that you don’t have a lot of miles of your lease and the fact that you need almost $5k in MSDs back is going to be a hurdle. I think it will require some sort of incentive to get someone to take it, even at a $675 payment. Most people don’t want to lay out a refundable $5k to some stranger even if it’s financially beneficial, it’s just the nature of it. BMW won’t directly get involved in getting you the MSDs, that’s between you and the new leasee. They will refund the MSDs directly back to them at end of lease but for the purpose of you getting it now, it’s on you and then you have to convince some stranger to hand you $5k, it’s a bit tricky.
If i was in your shoes, i’d at least offer to pay the transfer fee and then add more incentives if you don’t get anybody to bite.
There’s another website called leasetrader.com which is similar but i personally haven’t used it so i can’t speak from experience.
Thanks for info, I’m familiar with swapalease and actually use them to takeover a a4 conv years ago. Just looking for a change don’t need to get rid of vehicle or give it away. Anyone looking for x6 knows my numbers can’t be replicated in today’s market. If anyone is serious I would be open to negotiate transfer fee etc.
