Just started looking for a Nissan Rogue since my lease on my Altima will be up in 6 months. The first dealer (in NY) I went to gave me a final offer of $315 per month with $2000 down. I just signed up for this forum and am trying to figure out whether this is a good offer. If anybody has any feedback, it would be greatly appreciated!
Another random question: Does the fact that I have 6 months remaining on my lease factor into the price for my new car?

Yes the remaining payments are probably just lumped into your new payment unless there is a pull ahead but I doubt that it would absorb 6 months of payments. I’d stop looking now and start looking in 3 months if you really want a Rogue
Ok thanks for your feedback. I’m pretty motivated to get something soon because I would like to have 4 wheel drive for the winter.
Take it to Carmax to see if you have any positive equity in it. I’d doubt that because I don’t think Nissan is known for that. Look at the Chevy Equinox and if you like it, sign up for the farm bureau ($500 incentive that will help absorb negative equity) and wait a month. Assuming incentives stay the same (and they should) you’ll have $5200 that can absorb negative equity. Talk to your Nissan dealer to see if there is a pull ahead offer. If there, is that could help you a lot. Honestly, I’d wait until the last week of the year because incentives should get better and that is a great time of the year to lease. Temperatures are supposed to be warmer across most of the country than average. The Altima is front wheel drive so it should be fine in the snow
You will need to provide more numbers for an evaluation. Look around this forum and see the other posted offers with a lot more info (MSRP, sale price, etc.). Your 6 month buyout from the dealer is all rolled into your “$315 final offer” so nobody can really tell you how everything breaks down. Without a break down, that is how you get snowed because the “monthly sounds good enough”.
