2016 Nissan Leaf S 24kwh - Good Deal?

Hi Folks,

New here. Looking at my first lease. This would be our second car which will be used for commuting/around town driving. Any tips are appreciated! Right now I prefer option 3, what are your thoughts?

WA State.

I’ve got a couple of options:

Option 1:
S 24kwh
MSRP $32,075
Nissan Rebates: $11,625
Dealer Discounts: $6,401
Lease Sales Price after rebate: $14,049
Residual Value: $11,226
24 Month lease
Down Payment: $2,000 (+$150 doc fee, $595 doc fee, I think like another $500 in random fees)
Monthly: $36

Option 2:
S 30kwh (Don’t really need the range)
MSRP $33,670

Lease Sales Price after rebate: $15,593
Residual Value: $11,784
24 Month lease
Down Payment: $2,000 (+$150 doc fee, $595 doc fee, I think like another $500 in random fees)
Monthly: $79

Option 3: PREFERRED OPTION
S 24kwh
MSRP $32,075

Dealer Discounts: $6,401
Lease Sales Price after rebate: $14,049
Residual Value: $11,226
24 Month lease
Down Payment: $0
Monthly: $175

Option 4:
S 30kwh (Don’t really need the range)
MSRP $32,075
Nissan Rebates: $11,625
Dealer Discounts: $6,452
Lease Sales Price after rebate: $15,593
Residual Value: $11,784
24 Month lease
Down Payment: $0
Monthly: $217

Thanks for specifying WA, I was about to get all worked up about the CA state rebate and how it doesn’t count on leases under 36 mo.

The prices are very similar between the down payment options. Looking at the 24kwh version, and assuming $1250 in extra drive off fees (you should get a firm quote on total drive off, not just the down payment portion… as well as if the monthly includes tax.

total cost life of lease on the down payment option is $4114
Total cost life of lease on zero down (i’m assuming zero drive off, important distinction) is $4200

… but I can’t really tell you if it’s a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ deal… how much mileage is on that lease btw?
