2016 Nissan Leaf Lease Deal

Model : Nissan Leaf
Trim Needed : S or SL
Data : Dec. 2016
Location : SF Bay Area

I found the following deal for the S trim

MSRP : $33,670
Dealer Discount : $4969
Factory Rebate : $4000
Net Cost : $24,700

DownPayment : $2500
Monthly : $129 + tax
Mileage : 12000 per year
Duration : 36 months
Security Deposit : $0

I also qualify for recent grad discount but I am yet to ask the dealer if he can shave off another $1000 of the net cost ($24,700)

Is this a good deal with or without the grad discount?

Did anybody else lease a leaf recently?

I’ve been offered as low as $139+tax zero out the door for an S24. That was in Oct - I came back to them a month later and they wanted $2500 down for same monthly. SoCal.

Many bad bad things.
They give you 5k discount but claw back 2.5k a down payment.
THey do not pass the entire 7.5k federal credit to you just 4k factory rebate
The S is the base trim without the fast charger and the 2016 has the smaller battery.
Avoid this please

Disclaimer - the below ad is inaccurate (since they factor the state rebate into the so called 10k rebate) but you get the point

The ad you posted is only for 24 months. 24 month lease doesn’t qualify for CA $2500 rebate. How did they factor the state rebate ?

And is this a current deal or a previous deal? Which dealer has this price right now? It might be worth talking to them about a 36 month lease.

I’m probably spoiled because I got one of the Spark EV’s on closeout, which was a cheaper car anyway, but you’re talking about $200 per month over the life of the lease, which seems kinda expensive.

Then again they’re knocking 15% off the MSRP. I don’t know how much Leafs get discounted for, you may not get much more.

You’ll get the $2500 rebate directly from CA on this one also.
