Definitely a good deal but the money factor is quite high. With the monthly payments you’ll be paying 39,360.
With the selling price (125,000) and residual (49% * 204,00= 99,960) the depreciation is 25,040.
So they are getting you with the payments equaling 39,360 to what the depreciation of the car at 25,040. If you can close that gap a little bit more then it would be a better deal.
Honestly, Im pretty impressed with the numbers even with the mark ups. Amazing payments for a car in that price range. Can you pm me the dealer info if you decide not to go for it. I might be able to talk myself into that.
All things considered a solid deal. The Acq fee mark-up is negligible, your call on the hold-out for the MF, at that price they may sell the car. Either way solid, glad it worked out. Now this can start getting duplicated across the country.
Honestly I don’t know anything about the going rate for S600 Maybachs, but $1,525 before tax on a $200K MSRP car is around 0.75%…that would be pretty darn good on any brand new car.
I suspect the Finance manager is making a killing from marking up the MF (he doesn’t care how much the car is discounted, as long as someone bites)
Get the GM involved if you have to…buyrate MF would make this a solid homerun!
$1,413 would be extremely tempting but then again the car is definitely in a very small niche. There are so many awesome vehicles in this range. If this was $1000 a month, I would be over it instantly. The deal slowly de-escalated from a “wtf ridiculous deal” to a “very good deal”.
Good job phantom. Just to put the deal in context , If this were a 50k car, you would look at an sales price of 31k and a payment of 350. Great but not epic since as you know 50k cars can be had for even less. The poor residual and absurd mf really stand in the way here of killer deal. Have you gotten a quote on how to put this on your insurance???
Secondly, for 1400 a month you can get
One hellcat. Msrp 70k payment 500 a month
One Maserati msrp 62k payment 488 a month
One f-type msrp 66k payment 412 a month
Total msrp 198k. Total payment 1400
So no thanks to the maybach i think unless driving in big land yachts is your thing
A leftover 5 series, E class , S60, GMC Denali, Ram 1500 etc etc will get there
senwia did 66k E250 for 299
I did a 48k S60 Volvo for 229.
I did 51k Ram for 289. <- I know, looks like I overpaid.
Edit. I actually misread Phantom’s payment. It is 1600 not 1400 so if this were a 50k car, the payment would be 400 which is not an epic deal. A great deal since less than 1% but not Epic.
Biggest problem is the change in Residual. Different dealers will not mark-up MF or acq fee but they all use the same new residual which is 3% lower in March. 3% isn’t a big deal until its for a $205K car which is over $6K.
Every time you will be stopped at the corner or the curb, random distracted millenials on their phone will jump in the back seat saying “Thank God my Uber is here. I need to get to the airport like two minutes ago”
