2016 Kia Soul EV+

I am curious how this looks to everyone

2016 Kia Soul EV+
MSRP $38,080
Final Price $34,634
Residual 31%
$0 down/drive off
Rebate $14,500 (includes fed EV rebate)
MF .00071
36 months
15k miles/year
$335/mo including all taxes and fees

I feel like this looks not good and I haven’t run it through the calculator yet.

My BIL leased this exact car 2 months ago for first month, tags and doc fee and $149 a month. The mileage allowed was different and I think the residual was higher, but not $200/month higher…

What’s the full breakout? I’d want to see tax, fees, etc to see how they’re getting to $335. What state are you in?

Those are the only number I have so far. I am in CA. I did see a $149 advertised lease deal but it was for 39 months, 10k miles a year with $3k down. I will post more numbers when I get them. Thank you for the info!

Confused why you would want that deal when there are Ford Focus ev deals which are half the price. Check the forum for these.

The Soul EV has a ton more usable cargo space than the Focus EV. Other than that, I agree with this.

I had a focus EV up until a few months ago. Great car but my commute is right at the max range of the 2016 and live in a pretty rural area. I ended up having to stop off to charge a lot mommy way home. The other thing that sold me on the Kia is I’m a tall guy with a bad back and it is easier to get in and out of and a more upright driving position.

Good points. I’m 6ft 2 and 300 llbs and I leased a Nissan Leaf in 2013. What a great car! I miss it now that I have a great chevy equinox lease! There must be under 200 a month leases out there for the Leaf which I regular got 110 miles on one charge with only a little babying on return trips.

That is good to know. I will check out the leaf before I decide anything. Thanks!
