Im intrigued in the F-Type, have been reading through the posts on the forum. Ive called a few dealerships for the 2017 (new) and 2016 (demo) vehicles, and not a single dealer has been able to get anywhere near those payment numbers.
Any insights would really be helpful, as I need to purchase a new car within 7 days to receive sales-tax credit from my insurance.
Keep us posted. I think I saw 599 for the F type MSRP 70k approx posted on lease hacker. I am also thinking about the F type, so please post details of any good deal and I will try to replicate in MA.
2016 Jaguar F-TYPE S Convertible AWD
LEASE FOR
$599/MO*
36 Months
*Model #J173. MSRP $93,883. 36 month lease, 5,000 miles per year. $8,995 down plus tax. Tax, title, license, bank and dealer fees extra. $0 security deposit. Vehicle shown is for illustrative purposes only. See dealer for complete details.
For $8,995 down I would bloody well hope the monthly payment is low. That is, in my opinion, way more than anyone should ever consider putting down on a lease (and ideally one should put down zero).
You might try locating a Jaguar dealer that will finance a lease through a third party financier like Ally or U.S. Bank. Their residuals and rates ought to be better, opening the door for manageable payments without cap reductions up front. But, still, the residuals on the S aren’t as nice as the Base. You might be able to gain a percentage point by opting for a manual transmission, if any can be found in your area.
Do you know numbers on the 16 F-Type R Auto AWD Coupe? Found a demo in my area. Interested in 33 months/ 7500mi, or what ever the sweet spot is for this car (33/36/42 months)
