2016 Escalade Lease Evaluation

Hey Guys - I have been working with a dealer for the past few days and he just gave me this quote on a 2016 Luxury 2WD, 12K, 39 months:

MSRP: $79,635
Cap Cost: $74,252 (includes $595 Acq and $5022 in taxes - I live in GA so tax is on the full purchase price)
Money Factor: .00143
Drive off (1st month, title, doc fee): $1629
Residual: 60% - $840 allowance for mileage (has 4400 miles as a demo vehicle)
Monthly payment: $876

I think the numbers add up, and feel like this is a pretty good deal but wanted to see what you guys thought as well. What do you think?

As a demo you should be able to get more off the car.

How much more do you think would be reasonable? Currently I’m at ~10k off of MSRP

Demos on the BMW side are upwards of 15% off even up to 20% just for reference…

That’s great to know! I am at 14% off MSRP right now. I’ll see if I can get them to move a bit more.

Any Escalade shoppers/ owners have anything to compare to?

Sorry did not is it includes tax. But yes, i think you got room to bring it to 800 a month. That is my opinion. You have to be persuasive with them. Show them sales prices advertised for non demo escalades and go from there.

This is great feedback guys - thanks!

As a comparison, the cadillac.com website is advertising a non-demo Escalade with Murphy of approx 75k for $799/mo and 4k down. This does not include tax, title, or dealer fees. This is also for a 10k lease, whereas mine is a 12k lease.
Now I realize this is a non-negotiable rate, but given that as a comparison, what do you guys think?

Have you looked at the 2017 models at all? Not sure how much discount you’d be able to get, but for 36/12k on a 2017 Escalade 2WD Luxury it looks like .00089 and 57%

Hey jmac, I looked at a couple of 2017s and the most they were offering was about 3000 off msrp. The 2017s don’t seem to hit the dealerships in force until about Feb, so the incentives are a bit scarce even though the money factor is solid. Residual is kind of funky at 57 though. I’m getting 60 on the 2016 for 39/12

I would not go by advertised national but its a starting point. Because of higher downpayment payment kind comes out higher than yours and you have a higher msrp vehicle. I would go to cars.com and search for new 2016 escalades. Usually some dealers will say there MSRP and what sales price is vs MSRP. Look at that for comparison. Quick search in NY shows Atlantic Cadillac is offering about 8k off on brand new ones. Use that as a reference.

States that tax full price of lease just kills getting a nice lease payment on high dollar vehicles. You are at $129/per month before the MF charge just on the tax!

The 2017 Escalades have a lower MF, 2017 Lux 2wd is .00089 for 36 months, so maybe looking at the same payment even if less of a discount.
My info is still from October so could have changed.

I was looking for a friend last month. I told the dealers I could order at invoice just seeing if I could do better and most dealers said they had dealer cash they could throw in on in Stock vehicles to get below invoice on new escalades.

That is super helpful. I am going to see if there is any room to move.
