**Residual Calculation. BMW has changed how they calculate residual values for dealer service loaners and demos. Basically if a car has under 5000 miles, its the old mileage adjustment only; If it has between 5000 and 7499 miles, it is reduced 4% AND then reduced for the standard mileage adjustment; If it has between 7499 and 9999 miles, it is reduced 6% and then reduced for the standard mileage adjustment; If it has 10,000+ miles, it is a set value by BMWFS not related to the original residual.
In the case of my car, on a 36/10 lease the residual was 63%. Because it had 5500 miles on it, it was reduced to 59% and then subsequently reduced by another $1286 for mileage. The net residual came out to 56% of the original MSRP.
I leased from Kuni BMW in Beaverton, OR and had an absolutely stellar experience. I can’t promise they’ll give you this same kind of crazy deal, BUT, I’m happy to refer you to both my Internet Rep and CA. Just shoot me a message.
