2016 BMW i3 Lease - August lease terms?

nice deal, which state?

TWG - Can you please provide some details? I would love to head up there today/tomorrow a close a deal just like yours.

Thank you.

He said socal, so assuming California?

I just got my i3 with the range extender yesterday.

The MSRP was $47,845
Sales price: $43,677
Lease term: 30 months
Mileage: 12K a year
Residual value at the end of the lease: $32,056.15
$0 down payment
$0 security deposit
$ 308.17 a month ($285.08+$23.09)

I leased the car from BMW Tucson. I also got tinting for free (It is a must in Arizona). Btw, they offerred me $315 a month but when they were going through my credit, they went down to $308.17 because my credit score came out to be 865.

I really wanted to get the 1000 loyalty credit but since I didn’t finance my 328 in the past through BMW I didn’t qualify for that. If I did, my payment would be so much lower. There was also a college credit but i finished my masters 2 years ago. That didn’t work either. It needed to be in the last 6 months.

I hope this info helps someone.

Hi,

What do you guys think of this offer for 2016 i3 Rex + Tech + Drive package + HK Sound:

Quote #234608
MSRP: $50,545
Sonic Price: $46,330

24 month lease
10,000 miles per year
$3,551.81 due at signing
$2,100 security deposit (included in due at signing)
$280.56/month tax included

$280.56 x 23 months + $3,551.81 - $2,100 security deposit you get back at the end of your lease = $7,904.69 total spent for the 24 month lease

Thank you!

Update:
Here is the official quote:

They are marking up your money factor. With max MSD’s it should be, 0.00088.

Agree with @Sarlynnla. The mark up is costing you about $30+ extra a month and also makes your MSD higher by $350.

Thanks guys for the feedback. The dealer won’t budge, my guess is they are now low on inventory since they were able to sell a lot of them last month. So they’re marking up the leftover cars.

I will just wait maybe until closer to the end of the month and check again.

Yup, here in Phoenix it’s looking like the 2016’s are starting to sell as not very many left on the lots.

Picked up a '16 i3 Rex yesterday. 24/10k.

MSRP - $47,845
Sales Price - $43,770

  • $7,500 Federal Tax Credit
  • $1,000 BMW Loyalty
  • $1,000 USAA Discount

Used 7 MSD’s ($1,400) to lower MF. 0 Down Payment. Total Drive off was $1,400.

$195 / Month including tax.

Location/dealer? Thanks.

Sorry, forgot to include. This was SoCal. Valencia BMW.

What’s the $1000 USAA discount? Just another $1K that the dealer knocked off the price of the car?

What is your MF?

My dealer has the same price except for USAA discount and possibly higher MF.

His explanation for the MF: ā€œThe money factor we use is .00177. If you want multiple security deposits, the maximum is 7. .00177 - .00049 = .00128 lowest money factor.ā€

Hi everyone,

First time leasing…

It’s not easy to find a reasonably priced i3 BEV or i3 REX here in north jersey.

This is the best offer I got so far, and I will need to decide quickly.

  • i3 Rex / Value Package / Parking Assist Package / HK sound
  • MSRP: $49,045 including destination charge of $995
  • selling price is around $46,500
  • 24month / 10K per year
  • $244 per month ($0 down) with 7 MSDs
  • due-at-signing: $3528 = $1750 MSD + 214 DMV + 395 Doc fee + 925 Lease Acquisition Fee + 244 first month
    (no sales tax in NJ)
(not eligible for corporate fleet or loyalty discount)

How does it look? If it is reasonable, I’m ready to pull the trigger.

Thanks!

The money factor I got in NorCal was .00137 and .00088 after 7 MSD’s. This is the buy rate from BMW. Anything above that means the dealership is marking it up. Shop your offer and see if a competing dealer is willing to give you a proper deal.

It’s a discount offered by USAA to members of the military and their immediate family. Up to 1,000 off on a lease, however, cannot be used on vehicles marked in the dealer’s system as ā€œprior rentalā€.

The money factor was 0.00137, then reduced to 0.00088 with deposits.

It sounds like this is a good deal if you can get them to adjust the money factor. Also, if you or an immediate family member is/was in military service, USAA offers another $1k discount.

I would work on that selling price. The BEV was hotter and they have more REX models to sell now. I would target 5k off MSRP.

The mother of all i3 deals has been achieved:

BMW '16 REX

MSRP: $49.XXX
Selling Price: $42,XXX (incl. $1,500 corp discount)
MF: .00117 (after corp rate discount)
Down: $1,1XX.00 (1st month, acq., doc)
Reg: $3XX (cash)
Rebate: $7,500 federal & $1,000 BMW loyalty
Term: 24m/10k

Payment: $8X.XX. Yes you read that right, under $90/month incl. 8% sales tax.

I’d like to thank everyone here for being so helpful and being on the ball before anyone else even heard of this deal!
