2016 Audi S3 lease takeover $503.51+tax 18mo/1196mi per

Hey everyone,

I just reached the halfway point on my Audi S3 lease. My family has officially outgrown the S3 with me being 6 ft 7 and a 3 month old baby who has more stuff than I do  .

Car is in great shape, maintenance is included in the payment, and there is a $10,000 damage forgiveness on turn in included in payment.

Base payment is $503.51. Sales tax should be dependent upon the county in which you reside. No downpayment or anything like that requested. Car is in the bay area, California.

You’re going to have to offer a really significant incentive for anyone here to be interested. It is a pre facelift model and doesn’t meet the 1% rule once you factor in tax. People were getting 2017s in the 400s range. Nice looking car though.

Thanks for the feedback, Jananth1. I’m thinking the amount of miles available per month (nearly 1200), maintenance included and damage forgiveness, plus a shorter lease, will be a good fit for somebody. I suspect the 17s that were in the 400s didn’t have all that going in their favor.

The mileage definitely is a big plus especially for such a fun car like an S3. Good luck with selling!

Thanks man!

It is a surprisingly quick car. I had an STI a few years ago that also had around 300 hp, but the S3 feels so much quicker. I left it completely stock, but for someone who is a little less risk averse/less of a chicken, an APR Stage 1 tune would give a good number of more expensive cars a run for their money.

Urrgh this could almost work perfectly for me for a variety of reasons, but I won’t know for sure until February.

I have a 2015 S3 and love it (horrible lease because I got one of the first, but must turn it in or buy it out end of feb).

If you don’t get any results by Feb please PM me

Keep in mind Audis are known for leasing poorly, so hitting 1% is a little more impressive in that regard. Especially because OP is under miles. The hard part is going to be finding someone who is preferential to Audi and also willing to pay that premium for a 2-year-old car, rather than paying less for a new vehicle in the same class from another auto maker.

I see this as a great deal if you want to try out a S3… I would bite but 1-yr left on current lease.

Tires might need replacing soon…

Someone jump on it

Ok, no problem. I’m not in a rush so it might work out!

I have never seen an s3 in the 400s in this site.

2017 Audi S3 with technology package- $444/month $444 after tax. Again I’m not trying to downplay the OP at all especially since his has some very nice options but I’m just showing what I’ve seen

that posts say $2500 drive-off… that’ll add 75$ to that $444… pretty much in line with this car.

Hey folks,

Thanks for all the feedback on the lease. After doing some digging, I discovered that the original Audi lessee retains liability even after transfer :/. So I’m going to probably trade the S3 in on something, or just hold onto it.

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali that falls well under the 1% rule that I’m thinking about posting instead (and no retained liability!) lol.

Thanks again everyone. Cool community we’ve got here.

Eep, could you provide a link to what you found? One of the options for me was figuring out to get into a new S3, but want to retain the option to transfer.

I don’t have a link but he’s correct. You remain fully responsible for the lease even after transferring.
