Trying to get a feel for where this lands, seems to me like there should be a bit more room in the sale price, no? I emailed and told them I could do max MSDs as well, but their response didn’t contain any. Is it common for dealers to not want to do MSD or just be ignorant of them? In any case, thoughts on this?
.00124 MF and 56% RV on this vehicle in my zip.
As a side, this vehicle has been on the lot a decent while, I test-drove it a few weeks ago. I inquired about this vehicle this week and was told they were just moving it to become a service loaner and it wouldn’t be available for 90 days, then 2 days later they contacted me again and said they could actually lease/sell it. It only has 400 mi on it, so it’s still “new”. I told them to give me their best lease numbers on it and this is what they sent:
@max_g thanks for paying attention Honestly, I’m going back and forth and still haven’t found something I like enough to pull the trigger. As far as budget, that isn’t a hard-stop, it’s more of a self-imposed limit. I can afford more than this, but would prefer not to for a car that will mainly only drive the kids to school (15 min ride each way), get groceries, run around town, typical stuff. But I’m at a place where I want some more luxury and am not thrilled w/ some of the more practical (honda, toy, subaru, vw, etc). So I’m still debating need vs. want. That said, if I find a car I like, for a decent deal, then I’ll do it. Regardless, I’ll keep the rest of that discussion in the other thread if needed.
In my region you can still find GLE’s for 8% off as new and 12% off as loaners. I don’t see any rebates in your quote. To make this payment reasonable you generally need Fleet + Loyalty and I would stretch out to a 48 months term, since this lines up w/ the MB warranty. It’s not uncommon for dealers to avoid MSDs when they can sell it to someone else without them and the GLE is a hot vehicle right now. Keep in mind 2021’s are going to hit the lot soon, this will drive down the RV on any remaining 20’s – You are probably better off either finding a 20 loaner or waiting for a 21. Also, obviously, a 350 will be cheaper vs a 450.
It’s so easy to get MB fleet, really no excuse other then poor planning. Besides the entire thread dedicated to this topic on the forum, easiest way to get fleet is with PenFed Credit Union, United Airlines Frequent Flyer Program or MB Car Club of America.
LoJack tells me GA/FL, southern region. Consider shipping a car from @AutoCompanion. If you’re looking for a Mercedes if he has it he’s usually the most competitive.
Yep, especially with his ‘approach’ with no incentives but hefty discount off msrp is the way to go for those who lack loyalty. There is no GLEs available though according to a spreadsheet, but there is Demo GLS for 900+tax
