12-18 Month Lease Options

I am looking for short-term lease options as I am waiting for the Rivian R2 release (currently have an R1T that I love). Hyundai had a 13 month lease for Ioniq 5s, but this expired. Lucid has an 18 month option, but I didn’t love the car for the money. Other than a lease swap, any other manufacturers/brands to look into? Does not necessarily need to be an EV.

Porsche 12 or 18 month lease sounds like a winner.

What’s your monthly budget? You could also look into a 24 month lease. Most manufacturers offer that lease term.

If the past is any guide, deals get substantially better after 6-12+ months from the release. In other words the earliest adopters get slaughtered the most.

There should be a number of 24m deals in the Marketplace

@RcNiSMo also has an iX in the private transfer forum that should get you in the wheelhouse of when your R2 will show up.

And then when you get the R2 you can better appreciate the looks after having to stare at an iX every day for 18 months.

You are also assuming that the car will be delivered in 18 months withour a ton of delays. I would bet it is closer to 24 months. If you got some of the low priced electic 24 month deals- your worst case is 6 months of double payments. If it is delayed, you have a cushion. I would look at a ZDX, Equinox EV, loaner Lyriq etc or anyting that is being pushed for a short term lease right now.

Just don’t lease a BMW i7. Those are not easily transferrable.
