$0 sign and drive, 2019 Buick Encore, Preferred w/moonroof, $199 per month, 36 months

My 2016 Honda CR-V LX was up for renewal in June, 2019. Asked Honda for best monthly rates with $0 due at signing and I was getting about $290-$320 for HR-V LX or CR-V LX…both 36 months 12K miles.

I had leased a 2017 Buick Encore back in August, 2017 for family member with my Honda conquest incentive and great discounts for only, $157 per month ($0 signing) (24 months / 10K miles).

So, went back to that Buick dealer and this time got a 2019 Buick Encore, Preferred w/Moonroof for $199 per month with $0 due at signing for 36 months and 10K miles. I was happy with that as it was $100 a month less than Honda SUV and all I wanted was a compact SUV. I didn’t need leather, V6, fancy this or that, etc. I don’t drive that much and so a basic SUV was great for me.

I realize some are going to suggest a better selling price…but, for me…however we got to under $200 per month with $0 due at signing…was great for my situation (end of lease).

Everything done over email with sales manager and they delivered exactly as promised, again, just like the first time with the 2017 Buick Encore lease. I felt good about price and needed a lease now so, got it done.

Anytime you can get a new car for $199/month with $0 DAS it’s a great deal.

Interesting…

Will have to look into this for a budget minded friend.

Eh, you got 25% off a brand new car and are paying so little for a totally fine commuter car. Sometimes the details really don’t matter, when the price is so low!

Wouldn’t it be better at 27K MSRP,
23K SP,
5K incentives
(18K)
with 16K residual…Perhaps can be as low as $139/mo…

Does it have awd? If not, would it have raised the payment a lot?

You’re going to have a hard time finding a GM at 15% off before incentives at that price point without being an employee, and even that is a stretch. The spread between invoice and MSRP isn’t that big.

An Escalade or Suburban is a different story.

AWD is roughly 1k more, give or take a few bucks, so it would be 15-20 more if just FWD.

Did you have equity in your CR-V? Did you trade it in to the Buick dealer?

great question. i returned CR-V to Honda dealer. no equity. that lease was also a $0 sign and drive. but, honda/gm/etc…all have turn in fees, i think $350 if you don’t re-lease with them.

i was fortunate that Honda didn’t have any damage charges. So it was turn in keys…fyi…i had fortune of returning at a different Honda dealership than i leased from…it was cool cause i returned it, walk over to Buick dealership and got Buick. Honda finance was really cool about taking it off my hands…sometimes that can be a pain for them as its just another car for them to sell/move/etc…but, it’s also opprty for them to sell u a car.

I’m too lazy to check, but does AWD increase the residual for the Encore (I think it does w/ MB)? Just wondering, if that’s the case, if the increase in selling price is offset by the increase in residual.

Nice change of pace to hear that a dealership treated a client well! I also imagine that there are no shortage of people waiting to buy a cosmetically unblemished, used CR-V…

No. The trim can affect RV, but not awd vs Fwd.
