How this deal looks like AUDI Q5

Price 51,265
Dealer discount 6,635
vehicles price 44,630
2100 down 36 months 581,09
residual 29,221

Is this sund OK? It’s Bay Area

$640 for a Q5? Ouch. The Q5 doesn’t have very much value in leasing compared to other luxury SUVs. Consider a QX50 if you want a better value

Most people here will say it is not a good deal based on the 1% rule and we also don’t like putting money down.

36* $581.09 = $20919.24
$2100 down
$29211 residual
total 52230.24

Where did the $44630 go?

What do you mean $640? Wife really wants Audi, not sure how to convince her otherwise lol.

Can you explain little more? What should I tell them ? Thanks

2100/36 = $58.33 + 581.09 = 639.42

Which is your effective monthly payment. Always have to consider your down payment into the final monthly.

True. What can I do to make this more appealing?

Has she considered the Alfa Romeo Stelvio? Its a better SUV and you can get a much better deal.

Well the only options at this point is to make sure they aren’t inflating the MF, which could be possible, try and get more off the price of the car, or ask about multiple security deposits. Not many options but a few.

I suggested but not sure she is interested in it :frowning:

Explaining more:
-they claim they sell you a car for $44630
-your residual after 36 months is going to be $29221
-that gives depreciation of $15409
-total sum of your payments comes to $23019.24
-this means you have a total of $7610.24 of taxes and hidden fees in your payments, essentially 1/3 of your deal
-you get screwed somewhere big time!

Not to mention you say “$2100 down” which may mean your actual DAS is unknown.

Did you tell her it will save between $200-300/month?

They are very similar - and honestly most people would probably say the Alfa is a better driver’s car (if she cares).

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Q5, but I couldn’t stomach spending an extra $200-$300 a month for one over Stelvio that is just as good a vehicle.

It appears I was plain wrong with my calculations.

So what do you think of that Monetknow?

Yo’ money, yo’ choice

There are many cars to choose from for $640 per month, I doubt I personally would go for a Q5 with that amount but than I drive a minivan so what do I know…

At least the numbers match!

For that much money, OP should consider a Q7 2.0T base which leases about the same.

If you are not concerned with value per dollar on your lease, this Audi is fine.

Confirm you are getting the buy rate on MF, all incentives, if there are any, and hopefully 12-15% off before those incentives are applied. (not familiar with Audi, so I am not sure what discount can be achieved)

If you would like all the same features with a different badge for much less money (and work), check out some of the other vehicles that others have leased on the forum. Personally, I believe it is a gynormus waste of money to buy a badge, and not shoot for maximum value, but that is just me. Best of luck on your search!
