2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 (Good Deal Or Not?)

Here’s what I was quoted for a 36/15:

MSRP: 38,800
Selling Price: $37,300 ($1500 discount)
MF: .00063
Residual: 55% ($21,340)
Capitalized Proc/Doc Fee: $399.50
Capitalized TT&L: $1704.36
Gross Cap Cost: $41,199.57
Adjusted Cap Cost: $40,624.57
0 Down
Monthly Payment: $574.71
Due At Signing: $574.71 (1st Payment)

I’m going to require that they throw in the four mandatory maintenance visits (10,000, 20,000, 30,000 and 40,000 miles) since it is a 45k mile lease. They did this for my current 2015 GLA 250 and I won’t do the deal if they don’t agree to do it with this one.

Their “A” service charge is $300.00 and their “B” service charge is $800.00. Two of each during this lease. So, while those vastly overpriced services don’t amount to much expense for the dealership it’s a savings of $2200.00 to me.

That being said, do you guys think that I should push for lower selling price? My original goal was to have my payment no higher than $499.00/mo. with 0 down. Without a further reduction of the selling price, the only way I can do that is to pay the TT&L and fees up front along with the first monthly payment. I’m okay with that, if necessary, but I’m just not sure if they have sufficiently discounted the actual selling price at only $1500.00.

Your thoughts on this deal?

Post this here: Worst leases you've seen

Bad deal. Also take a look at the Infiniti QX30 very similar car but leases a lot better. You’d be in the lower 300’s on a QX30

Almost $600 for one of the lowest tier Mercedes? I don’t think so. That’s atrocious. Discount isn’t great and what kills it is there are no incentives for this model? Also where do you live that you pay $300 and $800 for service a and b? My dealers b service for my 2015 e350 is around the price of your a service. I’d do the service myself if those were my dealer prices.

That’s an awful discount, I was in a Mercedes dealer in the Phoenix area the other day and the salesperson basically said they will sell me a GLA for whatever I think is reasonable. Push for at least 12% off MSRP but I would ask for 18% off and then go from there. The GLA is getting redesigned soon so they need to unload these 2018’s.

Was this mb of Gilbert?

It was North Scottsdale (Schumacher/Penske) but I had same experience at Scottsdale Mercedes by Fashion Square. Heavy discounts on the GLA’s.
