I have been in High level car sales for nearly 2 decades - selling Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Porsche. I live in Connecticut and currently work out of a Porsche dealership. Ever since I started, I was so confused about leasing. So I took a deep dive into it and learned that everyone is confused about it. Mostly because all the information you find on the internet is WRONG. Leasing is not a different way of financing, the money factor is not converted to an APR by multiplying it with 2400, Money factors are not affected by federal interest rates and so on, and so on. My work gets easier when my customer understands what leasing really is - it’s a rental. And the math - which I do longhand because it’s always accurate - is actually very easy. I love sharing my knowledge and the satisfaction of seeing my clients finally GETTING IT! It’s no longer a mystery and they feel even more comfortable getting into a lease than ever before.
