Hey I’m new to this whole world, what does 7x MSD mean? I know MSDs are multiple security deposits but what does that entail? How much of a security deposit would I have to put down?

MSDs are fully refundable Multiple Security Deposits which you put up at the beginning of the lease to buy down the money factor (i.e., the interest rate on a lease). You get them back at the end of the lease. Each MSD reduces the money factor by 6 points and is calculated as one monthly payment rounded up to the nearest $50. BMW lets you put up to 7x of them, so you can get up to a 42-point money factor reduction if you do all 7x (on all models except the iX since that has too low of a base MF to allow for 7x reductions to the rate; max is 4x on the iX).

MSDs are not required, they just save you money. It’s usually a great return on investment if you intend to keep the car the full lease term. And the savings are not taxable income so it’s usually the equivalent of about 8-10% / year ROI straight to your pocket.

He has a post before and after you on X5 50e and saying to contact him for any “further questions”. A good deal is a very vague comment. My good deals can be a terrible deal for someone else.

Nothing wrong with cross-shopping a few cars, but based on your recent posts it’s a lot of cars and sounds like you don’t have a target vehicle or a target deal in mind. We get a ton of requests daily from customers who know exactly what they want and need a car, so before I take my time away from them, I just respectfully ask that you evaluate what you truly want before inquiring. What we do takes time, numbers don’t just come out at the snap of a finger.
