MSDs are fully refundable Multiple Security Deposits which you put up to buy down the interest rate on a lease. You get them back at the end of the lease. Each MSD = one monthly payment rounded up to the nearest $50, and BMW lets you put up to 7 of them on most models. They’re not required, they just save you money on interest each month and generally are a good ROI.

Yes that’s correct. It’s new for September that it now includes lease in addition to purchase for the enhanced XM loyalty.

  • Lease and Finance Programs Are NOT Lockable - for the first time in a while, BMW FS has taken away the ability to lock both lease and finance programs moving forward. This means the Residual Value, Money Factor, APR (for finance), and any rebates are all subject to change for incoming units and orders that will arrive after December 1, 2025 when the November program ends. This does not apply to cars secured with credit apps prior to November 1st.
