Wrangler 392 spin off - ordering, configs, flips, etc

I went with SOT on mine since it is only a $2k add vs. much higher on other Wranglers and I wanted to try it out. I wanted XR as well, but decided to pass for now. Maybe I’ll get it on another Wrangler down the line. Isn’t there supposed to be a refresh in a year or two?

Yah, 2023 it sounds like. Not sure if it’s going to be a whole new model or just a mid cycle refresh though.

Probably Uconnect 5 and some other minor updates. The Wrangler interior is already better overall than the Bronco in my opinion.

Did anyone order their 392 from Gupton? Or everyone is going through Chapman?

10% and no deposit gets the most attention.

Dan Deery in IA, is doing $6500 off and price lock but with a $1k non-refundable deposit and $180 doc fee

Ordered 2 from Gupton. They said invoice and not to tell anyone cause they won’t do for anyone else.

Invoice is roughly what % off MSRP? Did you have to give 2 deposits?

What are you specs? Sorry if you already answered these questions.

5.5% on the 392

Yeah 2 deposits

Are they ordering over allocation?

That’s the big question there for the people at invoice/higher prices than Chapman. If they have available allocations and can guarantee the order will actually be picked up, the higher price/deposit has value. If it’s another over-allocation order, it seems silly to accept the higher price/tie up the money with the deposit.

Was anyone even successful in actually getting a reply back from Chapman?

Mine was with allocation. But I would not reach out and ask for it as they explicably said they will not duplicate.

Yes. It took them a little time to get back and I had to follow up a second time for the order confirmation, but they got it taken care of.

Love to know which ones as well lol

Also looking for this answer.

Is it better to buy or lease? Planning to drive 2-3 months and flip.

Oh Gawd…for a 2-3 month hold period…LEASE ALL THE WAY.

FYI…thats because of sales tax. Youll get brutalized by the tax on the purchase and the quick flip.
