Asking for NorCal on an Audi Etron lease
Whats with the lease terms which says so not use chains on the tires ?
Why ?
Also what are the consequences of using chains if one has to ?
What are the alternatives

Cables are fine for leases, its just metal chains they exclude

Is this a one-time thing for a mountain pass or similar?

For daily driving of all sorts in cold climates, dedicated winter tires on their own set of wheels are best.

YMMV but for me the net expense was well worth it. Sold them for ~50% later and saved enough wear on the original tires that I didn’t have to replace them. Which I otherwise would have.
