We live in Los Angeles CA. Wife wants a large SUV. 3 row, captain seats, as loaded as they can get. Idea was Escalade, but it’s ridiculously expensive. Any suggestions on options? Before anyone goes for the kia, nissan, toyota, honda, etc… options, I’ve already tried, believe me. She wants options on Cadillac, GMC, Chevy, or something like that. I might be getting her around to consider Benz, but work in progress lol. So far, everything that is American has a price tag that seems to be unreasonable. Time is not an issue for us, as in we can wait however long. She has a 2020 QX60 that’s almost paid off. Which will be used as a trade in. Don’t care if the car needs to be shipped.
I don’t know what to expect from this post so… I accept laughs and suggestions.
Your best bet is GLS or X7 … they’ve been leasing much better if you can find a deal. Problem is that you’re in SoCal.
if you can get her to test drive one figure out if she’s ok instead of the big-old GM GMT-T1 SUVs. The X7 has a smaller cargo area and IMO feels more enclosed than a GLS. But neither will come close to a GMT.
I think the win for you would be if you can keep her out of a Range Rover.
Yea, Range Rover wouldn’t work for multiple reasons, besides the price. She actually wants a HUGE car, so the GM car’s is what she ideally wants. I just haven’t been able to see anything reasonable. She looked at X7, too small, not enough room in the trunk. Same with GLS.
If she wants a huge car and the GLS/X7 are too small then I think your only options are similar to the Escalade such as the Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, etc. They don’t lease well.
No, it actually wouldn’t work since it’d be broken all the time (not working).
Ask @djrabbi and everyone else who got a Wagoneer on LH.
If your wife doesn’t care to get an Escalade with the recent design refresh, you can probably get a low miles used one in a budget that works for you. Or a Lexus LX.
