Where do you invest your money?

The new management would be nuts not to issue more stock at this prices, which will push the price back down. Just sell those old leftovers and move on.

Yeah, I’m hoping that more money piles into it this week while the rest of the market tanks. It’s only a few shares remaining. I’m willing to risk it since it’s just some of the money I made on options; but I do think there’s a chance people like the stock all the way up to $300 tomorrow

It’ll push it down short-term, but it’s a bearish move. The biggest thing to watch are the OTM/ITM calls this week.

Hope y’all bought some sqqq for protection. I have a feeling this is just the beginning. The nasdaq is super over valued. High divi paying dow stocks are where I want to be right now. Along with my PMs, oil and other commodities like dba, weat, corn. Do your own DD. This is just where I’m putting fiat. I’m also holding some doll hairs on the side lines to pick up some tech that over corrects eventually. A correction is much needed.

I’ve been in WTI (the ticker) for several years (in and out) - it’s been very good to me. Recently bought some SHLX - high div (16%) and should be pretty stable due to increased demand for oil.
Probably should have sold my small position in GME earlier today, but hey - greed is good. We’ll see where the chips fall :large_blue_diamond: :raised_hands:

Picked up on some moderate chip shortages over on BP, to the point where BMW isn’t even offering HK on the X5/X6 builds at this point.

SMH, perhaps? Anyone know of any other ETFs or positions they’d recommend in the space?

Bitcoin. Crypto. More bitcoin.

Like who are the chip companies who are behind, causing the shortage? Mostly TSMC who prioritize production for higher end chips (like  silicon) and make most of those microcontrollers with their flex capacity, but see article at end.

Qualcomm fabs some chips, mostly high-end radios (encrypted voice, LTE/5G modems which go in telematics systems).

Nvidia is mostly graphics chips/cards, crypto-specific cpus, they make Tesla’s FSD3 brain, and they are likely to be the next owner of ARM (which powersApple’s CPUs but they already have a perpetual use license that can’t be revoked or made more expensive).

Intel/AMD make mobile/laptop/desktop CPUs

I thought that’s not happening anymore

Thing is Nvidia, amd, and more use TSM foundries. They’re not making their own silicon. It’s all on TSM at this point, and ramp up takes several weeks afaik. It’s gotten so bad the US and German trade offices made official ā€˜diplomatic’ requests.

My understanding skimming Taiwanese news was that people scaled back supply and orders for q4 20 and q121 during the pandemic, and now they’re feeling the burn from doing so.

:chocolate_bar:

The FTC is looking at it, but Huang says he’s confident they can get the deal done. We will see.

Anyone currently investing in any alternative types of investments (Besides stocks, pm, crypto, or rentals)?
Fundrise, REITS?
VRBOs? Houseboat VRBO?
Peer to peer?
Turo (I’m sure there are some of those)
Spec homes?
Build to rent to sell rentals?
Land holding?
Commercial rentals?
Loan sharks?
Amazon selling?

Idk, other?

I thought it was the car manufacturers that cut back on orders at the beginning of the the pandemic, and are now stuck in the back of the queue behind all the industries that didn’t cancel orders.

Vroom crash-landed hard this morning… :flushed:

The two most important things I’ve learned on LH are:

  1. Down payments are risky.
  2. Put it all on black.

Feels like a trend.

The current answer to ā€œwhere do you invest your moneyā€ right now is in the toilet because that’s where it’s all going
