Where do you invest your money?

Yes I’d just coordinate with accountant to max your efficiency via the correct giving entity (you or business).

That was a very impressive showing by the U last night.

Could you imagine?

I see companies getting out of the credit card business. People with less than perfect credit will probably lose this line of credit.

If someone’s going to carry a balance, they should do so on a card that excels for that purpose.

Among the very, very (very) few uses in this world for credit unions, that’s where to look. It isn’t hard to find something with a sub-10% APR.

There are also multiple offerings from the largest card issuers that let you transfer a balance at 0% (with or without a fee) for 12-21 months.

There’s a right and a wrong way to do most things. Anyone who’s doing this wrong has no business complaining.

Can I interest you in the airline industry perhaps?

Damn you’re all way too smart for me. I have money in a bunch of different places, but primarily into my 401k and into index funds. I have a small amount of BTC and some stocks that have languished that I’ve given up on and just let sit with no further investment.

Attempting to learn how to invest and time the market was a fools errand for me. I think for many of us the mitigated risk of index funds, and holding long term is the way to go.

So it’s a concept of a plan….

Sounds like you would be happier as a Boglehead.

As opposed to what? Setting himself up for failure by getting into crypto and whatever other junk investments you all are hawking?

I am not hawking anything. He made a statement that pretty much exactly aligns with the Boglehead philosophy, so I mentioned it in case he hadn’t read too much into it. As far as my investments, I am pretty tame. I have some direct real estate and private equity investments, but my job makes trading individual stocks a huge hassle, so I have a large percentage in index funds as well.

After looking into the term, I’d tend to agree! I don’t have the savvy to play games in the market. I need tried and true methods. But this may be why so many of you are driving 911s and I’m not :sob:

I wanted to be a Boglehead but I’m unable to obsess over Amazon occasionally using a shipping box that could have been marginally smaller.
