What would you buy for $10k?

Did you guys see Hoovie’s Towncar ? That thing is mint and he paid only $7500 for it. I would love to have one but those in SoCal are either in bad shape or way too expensive.

FYI, got it for under $8k with 75k’ish miles because dealer took it on trade and didn’t want to deal with it. Had the dash lit up like a Xmas tree. Just took me putting in the correct battery and finding a shorted relay to solve most of its problems.

Did you have confidence you could fix the Xmas lights cheaply or were you just in a gambling mood?

Total gamble. I’m not right in the head.

It has since thrown new lights for an evap leak and tpms. I just haven’t had time to deal with it but I have new tpms sensors in hand and have an idea of the common evap issues on it.

Someone on the Crown Vic forums said that, unfortunately, this is a symptom that stems from the vehicle being a vehicle of “the poors” for so long.

First dogged on by the law, then by the poors.

I bet they’re a dime a dozen near retirement communities

The owners keep passing away and hardly anyone below 80 wants one.

Naples Florida used to have a lot of those types of cars with low miles. Ever since the hurricanes in the last few years, many of them good flooded or you run the risk of buying a flooded car where the damage wasn’t disclosed

I had one of these in French Silk as well, and I sold it to a guy who wanted it as a ‘Sunday car’- the easiest private sale ever. Front row bench seating was the best. Thought I was going to get major shit for driving it in college but the mobile sofas were universally appreciated. The trunk could hold anything as well.

One of the most underrated platforms, ever.

Anyone I lend my car to falls in love with it.

I want a land yacht. Tag me if you see one!

What am I missing about the difficulty of finding one? Even the lowest mileage ones are struggling to break 10K

You bought that off marketplace?

Not a late model (09-11) towncar in a mint condition. The one he bought is a like new 09 Signature at 74K miles for $7500.
