Probably one of those ‘uphill both ways’ situation
Damn bro how much does electricity cost down there that people need to be charging at train stations??
Haha, not that difficult at all… and I ain’t saving S#!+
I work maybe half a mile from the train station, so I charge while I work, I don’t NEED a beater at all. I also have chargers near my home walking distance maybe a mile or so. I’ve always had two cars, so that’s why I thought about getting something cheap for in-town.
I don’t see anything as an “inconvenience” if you make it work for ya, It’s a blessing haha and No, not like those “dealership blessings”, rather than waiting for the bus daily-I charge once every two weeks or so.
Thought about it, the ones from Costco… but I have a Specialized already
Not too much, but I can’t charge from an Apartment-second floor, so this works perfect for me and I use EvGo from time to time
Got it. It is nice having a “beater” though, can’t argue with that…
already deleted. boooo…
I would take a 3.5 or 4.0 Pacifica if the miles were low enough. And I’d immediately change the trans fluid. It is a very nice comfortable car.
As long as you don’t need to drive at high speeds or carry many big people, this can be a lot of fun.
Yup, it probably sold as any website had these at $4K and up
And it snows literally all the time.
I’m just not feeling it with the current market so went the *hit box route for now, you can’t go wrong with a 2003 Impala 9C3 aka unmarked cop car package. Very clean for a 20 year old car, runs great, no leaks and $3900 out the door with taxes and auction fees. 107k miles and cop goodies like certified speedo, surveillance mode that kills the dash lights and DRL’s, full size spare too. Equipped with the bullet proof 3.8 V6. Not quite as quiet as the Buicks of this year, but the drivetrain is so smooth and lots of low end torque. I’ve got a month left on my current lease to work out any kinks with this thing, seems solid though. It’s from a smaller county in Colorado and appears to be well maintained, looks almost like new under the hood. This is the kind of car you can drive a couple years for next to nothing.
Curios where you got this ? Auction?
Certified speedo
@Omarss11 looking for KEI
Just picked up a 2009 Nissan Titan 4x4 with 186k miles for $3500. It has rusted out rear wheel wells, some light surface rust underneath and a bit of gunk from years of.fluid filming the bottom of the truck. A few lights on the dash that I’m sorting out. Only major issue was a brake line ruptured on a drive a few weeks ago - spent a bit of time replacing the bad one and any others which looked suspicious. In the process of repairing and bleeding the brakes found that one of the emergency brakes was non existent,.so had to rebuild that one. (Learned a few skills about flaring brake tubing and using a torch to remove rusted nuts - and that brake fluid is flammable ).
This truck is for my son. Both of his other siblings have German cars of the same vintage. I changed the oil on this Titan and drained a full 7 quarts of oil out of it (it holds 7 qts), whenever I change the oil on the German ones, I never get the full amount out because the rest has leaked out a long the way. Not a drop of oil on the Titan after 15 yrs and 186k miles.
Let’s see some pics
Here are some of the front, some of the rust and a later ones of the busted brake lines. We put fender flares on the wheel wells after cutting out the rust and neutralizing it.

Just did a quick search for Camry, Accord and Avalon up to $3,000 and I think the prior opinion still stands, that
A. you get more for your money by skipping the most obvious options (this is arguably better than any $2-3,000 Camcord):

B. You don’t necessarily get more for your money in this market by spending more. Most of the following search results from double the budget ($4-6,000) are terrible
