What would you buy for $10k?

Mid-2000’s Toyota Avalon from an old lady. Just look poor and tug on her heart strings. You’ll get a cream puff that’ll last another 100k miles

It’s easy street if they’ve already reversed mortgaged their house to Tom Selleck and flush with cash.

Save the ladies for the rest of us pal. Those Costco runs are gonna be dope. No sleeves allowed ever… and if you don’t have a 90’s tribal arm tat, you can’t have one.

For started, you can go on any car selling website and plug in your numbers to see what comes up on your search.

Here is an example: cars.com

You can even up your max-price, find something more decent for 12K and try to negotiate the price down to 10K.

I just scrolled the results, not too many good ones to consider. But good luck to you!

May the panther platform continue to RIP.

An MGM for private party sale by long-term owner or one of these with unknown hundreds or thousands of idling hours?

*the former probably costs less too

Panther body house of worship.

Plenty of cars in 10-15K range. Just search in “good” areas, like rural PA, instead of NYC, and lots of them will be in relatively good shape. You can knock $500-$1000 easily (may be more) on a lot of them, if you have cash and offer to close transaction on the spot.

ngl, i don’t think i’d recommend a single one of those. they’re all unreliable with high miles on their last life, besides the corolla

that q5 is gonna have a blown engine in 30k miles or less

Yeah, perhaps you can reccomend something brand new, with zero miles and full warranty for 10K.

Is that a Jaguar I see? From the 90s?!?! My uncle had an XJS (I think) back in around 91 and he let me drive it on my learner’s permit. Good times, but not a good car (reliability wise). Can’t imagine the issues one would have with one now.

No one is saying it has to be brand new, 0 miles. But there are plenty of reliable vehicles in the 10k and under range. If someone only has $10k to spend, i’d imagine they don’t have a whole lot extra for repairs and other things. So something like a toyota, honda, etc makes way more sense than a 11 year old q5 with 125k miles

FYI, I don’t sell them (and I don’t sell cars in general). I just did a quick cars dot com search and posted samples, as an example of what you can get for 10K. It’s up to buyer to do their research, find a car they want and buy it. Won’t do their leg work for them.

Definitely not a super car. I also wonder if 60K+ is genuine mileage, or if it was rolled back 10 times.

If it’s a Jaguar and it’s still running, my money is on the mileage being accurate. Thanks for this though, brings back a lot of fun memories from my teens with my uncle in FL - dancers, escorts, Disney World…

Man are you deliberately unhelpful?

This thread is for suggestions. Anyone can search cars.com.

Here is an actual good example.

Even though an 06 maxima and an 07 look the same and are priced the same, get the 06 because it doesnt have the cvt.

Based on my reading of your posts, you don’t know jack about a lot of things you post here either. You argued with me about $7500 lease credit on GLE450e which you can buy right after leasing, saying I didn’t know what I was talking about, only to turn around and suggest others in your latest posts to do just that, after you discovered that what I was suggesting was right.
