What will this repair / lease damage cost me?!

Leased EX90. Was backing out our XC90 next to it, which had its rear door open. The XC90 door got stuck where the dent is. Of course it’s in one of the most awkward spots. How complex / costly do we think this will be? Trying to mentally prepare. :person_facepalming:t2:

I guess it’s not just the dents, but also the almost 1/2" crease where paint may be starting to crack?

Edit: updated pics

I had something similar and they didn’t charge me…they did note it.

Wild! What makes me think I’ll get charged is that the rear panel got pushed in a bit beyond the dents and now seemingly doesn’t sit flush with the door. I may see if a paintless dent repair shop can do it for <$500 to just get it done and not worry about it. Though I guess I’ll still have the paint cracking that could get worse.

Maybe $400 fine? it isn’t much on a dent. Compared to repairing it.

You think I should bother touching up the paint cracking at the crease?

no, it’s the same fee.

When is your inspection?

I still have a year and a half left

Personally, I like my cars pristine and would just get it fixed so I wouldn’t have to look at!

Early consensus is none of the PDR folks think they can fix it. Heard from one body shop that says definitely over $1000, but would need to see in person.

If so, I’m thinking I’ll keep it as is and either wait until lease end inspection OR trade it in early (who knows how things will change over the next 1.5 years, but I’m trending a couple grand of positive equity potentially)
