They offered to let me apply for another card but I’m not going to do it.
Goldman/Marcus is so painfully difficult to work with (and outright dishonest if you ask me) that it’s just not worth it. They will arbitrarily close your account if you put any kind of significant spend through it. I think they’re hoping that people will get the card, run up a balance, and then rack up interest by not paying off the statement balance in full.
What was your CL? Were you cycling?
Interesting. I have this card. Marcus CS even though they are US based, they work from home with a CAN’T DO attitude, they are simply bad.
Started out at 12K CL. They allow you to request a new CL every 6 months. I’m now at 37K CL which is not bad. Accumulated 10K in rewards.
Hope to buy an Escalade or Denali outright. You can redeem as much as you like. The 1K redemption limit is for CPO vehicles.
