What is the best way to buyout a lease early?

I am moving out of state (from MO to NY). I have a 2020 GMC Terrain SLE (36/15k). I still have 2 more years to go but I wanted to buy out lease early as I will be driving a lot more than I had previously anticipated. Should I buy out the lease early or transfer it to someone and get a new car?

Transfer it unless for some bizarre reason you want to drive a base Terrain for 20k miles a year (aka masochism). Get something that doesn’t suck.

Wait until the end, with the hope it encounters a snowy off ramp and gets totaled

Or lease a Bolt and use the Terrain when the weather is bad, leasing a Bolt is cheaper than buying the Terrain
