What is leasing best right between these SUVs?

trying to narrow down a few that could be had somewhere ~$475 or less. prob 1 or 2 options on each. prob only need 10k miles/yr

XC90 T5 w/ the current lease cash, costco deal
QX60
Jeep Grand Cherokee (at least Ltd trim preferably, Overland would be great)

few preferences which should be mostly standard on these, bunch of the safety features; sensors, blis, lane departure; hid lights.

open to other suggestions as well. would be in bay area. thanks!!

The Grand Cherokee residual is not good…roughly 50%.

I think you can get more value from leasing an XC90 with similar payments.

think 8-12% off msrp is a good target for the xc90 and qx60??

I’d aim closer to 15-20% for the QX60.

I am also considering a 2017 XC90 lease. Any luck finding a solid offer on one yet?

Thanks

not yet. just put out a feeler this morning for first try. from previous posts doesnt seem like local dealers may be willing to move much, but we’ll see. and if i miss out on the Sep incentives, maybe Oct will be decent as well.

Got it. So for Sept., there is $3000 lease cash and $3500 conquest? Anything else?

Thanks!

thought conquest was over for Sept. looking at costco get 3000 lease cash + 750 addtl. allowance

oh i see. were the two rebates stackable? or either or?

If you actually sat in these three cars the Volvo is a world apart. The other two are very dated an old where as the Volvo is a class above.

that is good to know.

i read these XC90s are made in China now? I find that a bit of concern for me, though.

So are all the iphones in the world and nobody cares about that. It is an unfounded prejudice you have about China and their people to suggest because it is made there that it will be of a lesser quality somehow. It is all down to Volvo to ensure management processes and QC is handled in the same way as it is elsewhere.

not here to argue with you as it is just my personal preference. and smart phones and cars are two very different things. you don’t drive your iphone 70 miles per hour on a freeway.

Seems racist to me. Just saying. Don’t want to argue either.

racist? lol i am asian… i really hope volvo cars made in china go through a rigorous QC.

You guys must know something. When was looking to buy a condo a few years back, my chinese friends were adamant not to buy one build by a chinese developer or company. I think the Volvo looks great though.

Volvo’s are Swedish cars, built with Swedish tool sets, production lines and management which just happen to be in China. Just like BMW X5/X3s etc are German cars even thought hey are built in the USA. Trust me, just like any decent international company, Volvo are in tight control of their production line and QC. There will be no difference between one made there or in Sweden.

I cannot attest to an independent Chinese building firm which has no foreign governance.

Last time I checked, Volvo was purchased by a Chinese investment company so it is not a Swedish company any longer. Although Sweden-made Volvos weren’t perfect either in terms of QC.

Have you had any Volvo lately? Your QC statement is from 20th century. Also, only a few models built in China and most are still built in Sweden and Belgium. It is a Swedish company owned by Chinese.

No, that is why I am looking to try it out.

Volvo was born in Sweden yet it is not a swedish company any longer. It is owned by Geely Holding Group, a Chinese multinational automotive manufacturing company. It is a swedish company only when sweden or swedish people or swedish company owns it. When you sold a house, it is the buyer’s house (not your house owned by the buyer).
