What cars have you had in your lifetime?

  • 1990 Nissan Maxima SE (totaled at 200k)
  • 2010 Toyota Corolla S (first lease, sold back to dealer for more than resid)
  • 2012 Acura TSX Special Edit, 6-speed (leased then sold on CL for $1.5k profit 1mo. before lease exp)
  • 2016 BMW 320i (BMW inaug vehicle - quite shitty, didn’t have auto adj seats, WTF?)
  • 1995 Nissan 300ZX NA
  • 2019 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid (first LH-inspired deal)

At the time of the Acura TSX, I had wanted a Civic SI and ended up going for the TSX instead. Best second option I’ve ever ended up with.

1984 Ford Escort 4M
197X VW Rail Buggy 4M
1978 Pontiac Firebird 3A
1988 Chevy Camaro RS 4A
1991 Acura Integra 5M
1993 Geo Metro 5M
1984 Ford Ranger 4M
1988 Honda Accord 5M
1993 Pontiac Sunbird 4A
1996 Dodge Intrepid 4A
2001 Chrysler Sebring 4A
1996 Buick Regal 4A
1993 Dodge Dakota 4A
1993 Mazda Miata 5M
2008 Nissan Sentra CVT
2009 Honda Civic Si 6M
2013 Infiniti G37S 6M
2014 Nissan Pathfinder CVT
2015 Acura RLX 6A
2016 Nissan Murano CVT
2017 Lexus RC 350 F Sport 8A
2018 MB GLE 7A
2019 Lexus ES 350 F Sport 8A

The Sunbird may have been a 3A, I’m not sure. It’s pretty forgettable.

The Miata taught me the most about driving.

The G37S 6M is the one me and the wife lament as “the car that got away.”

May as well use this thread to bitch and moan.

Used 1996 Acura TL - lot’s of problems
Used 2000 Mazda 626 - insane amount of problems (in only two months of ownership)
New 2007 Honda Civic - decent amount of problems
New 2009 TSX - only one problem
New 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid - quite a few problems
New 2014 Kia Optima SXL - decent amount of problems.

I’m beginning to think I’m better off without a car.

I’m starting to wonder if the problem is the nut behind the wheel!

2008 Toyota Highlander Limited
2006 Honda Pilot EX

Too bloody many. I think I’ve had more cars in my lifetime than I’ve had pairs of jeans.

I have a problem.

You might have had more cars in one year than people have had in a lifetime!

@beyondthevalley Where in South Florida? It seems like we’re around the same age. I was in Plantation.

2015 VW Jetta 1.8T - Leased
2018 Jaguar XE 25t - Leased, can’t wait to get out of it. Nonstop problems and boring to drive as all hell. I check vroom and carvana quotes almost weekly haha

Only 22 and 3 cars in but why not share
1999 Lexus ES300 (an absolute tank. Loved this car to pieces)
2004 Honda Pilot (thanks mom)
2018 Chevy Trax - owned (55 mile commute rules out leasing)

Next car will hopefully be a Lexus ES300h

My mom had jaguars for a bit in the mid 90s… constant problems too but at least they looked cool back then!

She switched to Mercedes maybe 20 years ago and never looked back. My dad’s had inifinitis for decades too now.

The whole family car thing I see posted here cracks me up… my mom had a corvette when I was a baby, a Lincoln 2 door when I was a bit older. No f*s given.

Where on Earth do you commute? That’s longer than my commute to here in Hell-boken.

Down the parkway to Atlantic City. 55 miles each way going the opposite flow of traffic. Easy commute despite the distance

Gotcha. You’re already a decent amount south, so I guess it’s true that it isn’t too bad!
