Congratulations.
I wished I had seen this thread earlier. But you started planning early which was great. For us we finalized everything this summer and chose the date for Nov (next month).
My biggest expense have been flying our relatives (her and mine) to the US and paying for multiple extended stays (1 month) in multiple Airbnb’s houses. Luckily for us, we do not know a lot of people in the US so the wedding should still be small. We would be having two small events (cutting it down from three events). And I was the one footing all the bills so the venues are not high end but look pretty decent especially since we were booking them so late. The venues are also inside the city and not in a rural area. We are spending quite a lot on the decoration and lighting and I think that should make up for any thing lacking in the venue.

If it’s not too late, open a new cc with a bonus spend.
For us, we opened a Chase card that had a big bonus after 6k spent. And we used that card for any wedding expenses. Now we’re on our honeymoon and had over 50% of the cost comp’d by points

Spent the week in Osaka & visited Kyoto and Nara. Leaving today (it’s Saturday morning here) for Tokyo for the next week!
