Was This Finally “Peak Insanity” in Used Vehicle Prices? And all other crystal ball questions

CX90 is a new body style/popular vehicle. A “deal” may be a little tough on that one. But I do think there have been some posts where “some” discount has been achieved on it.

Have you considered Volvo XC90? There have been a lot of data points posted here lately on good discounts. I think there have even been some Infiniti QX60 data points recently with some discount.

If you’re looking for a “deal,” the Mazda CX90 may not be it. In this market you’re going to have to be a bit flexible if you want a “deal.”

Also, make sure you test out that 3rd row. Many of them are useless unless it’s for small kids.

This is too speculative. There are always deals that come and go on this forum regardless of market conditions.
It’s up to you if you want to pay to drive what you want, or drive what you want to pay for.

Lease car interests: electric luxury SUVs
I am in hurry or need to lease urgently since my old car can carry water for some months for sure.
is it better to wait and check how leasing turns out in the next couple of months,
does the lease market get better in last 3 months of the year with better incentives/rebates/MF and other stuff ?
especially for example: Lucid, EQE, Audi Q8 etrons, and the likes

“Fearmongering so we can bless you with a Subaru.”

Soon there will be a line on the window sticker that says:

Strike Adjustment $x,xxx

This is how “peak insanity” started.

Congrats, you are the millionth person asking this and getting the same answer (with a crystal ball meme).

doesn’t end of the year see more lease offers open up from dealers and the manufacturers ?
is that generally true pattern wise ?

there is no pattern right now due to Covid. Each Manufacturer has a ‘sweet month’, Merc was in June if I remember right.

Right now you have Costco, so keep an eye out for the next 10 days for any Q8 firesales and jump on it.

Should I be taking this as you have a water leak in your current car?

Do as you will. I had the same dilemma recently, trying to trade my GLC for newer gen GLC (which, when I took closer look, turned out to be downgraded version of the car I have now, looking more like in GLB class than GLC. I looked at GLE and Porsche Macan next, and so far got cr@ppy offers to lease both (GLE being cr@ppier than Macan). So, I decided to wait. But I am in no hurry, my lease is good through January 2025 and my car is in outstanding condition, so I can afford to wait between now and 2025. If any dealer calls me tomorrow and offers fantastic deal (highly unlikely) I will go and pick it up the same day, otherwise I will take a pass. I don’t know what would I do in your stead, may be I would just go with the less prestigious brand that had the best deal in the market, with the same or more options than my current car has.

Weren’t you the one who was complaining about the design though?

Among other things, lol!

No, I think it means that OP has bladder issues but his car is thankfully watertight.

Kinda getting the feeling that he won’t lease a MB regardless of how much the deal is being offered

That was never a rule of thumb, and in modern times is a fable. We see some of the best least deals in the first week on the month. You have to monitor the lease programs and be eligible for as many incentives as possible.

Also inventory levels still are not back to 2019 levels, and the Big 3 are on strike for the foreseeable future.

Also don’t forget to hold your breath when driving by graveyards, so the :ghost: don’t get in you.

LOL similar response here, but I didn’t feel like starting a potential war. I don’t recall there being any hardcore subie fans on here (?). Ik @jeisensc was eager to exist his.

funny it is
dont we all have likes and dislikes
do u always only get what u like
i like a ferarri, i may not get it for various reasons
expressing opinions on designs is not allowed

Yeah, definitely need a crystal ball. You got Elon that wants market share starting an EV price war, but then you have the UAW strike and rising oil prices. A lot of Hyundai Ioniqs sitting on lots, but almost all the 2023 Q8 etrons, Volvo C40s, and even Q4 etrons have been sold. And yet, new 2024 Q8 etrons are getting 10% discounts already.
