Got this offer from a dealer today on a lease of a preowned 430i. Sorry. Didn’t get too many details about residual or MF. The offer didn’t seem good at all so I ended up walking. Wanted to confirm if I did the right thing.
After about an hour of haggling and 10 trips to the manager the salesman got me to an effective monthly payment of 467 before ttl on a $29,000 car. For a $29,000 car it didn’t seem like a good deal at all. Did I do the right thing?

At that monthly, you would be better off buying it and selling it after a year for almost the same price. I think you were wise to walk.
Not sure why you would go to the dealer to negotiate a deal, you’re in one of the most competitive bimmer markets in the country. Just fire off some emails or get on the horn
. Some great dealers on here too
This is the kind of offer I expected out of the gate but surprisingly this took like an hour of bargaining to get him down to. And ultimately he let me walk so I was thinking maybe I’m crazy.
The salesman I worked with talked to me on the phone yesterday. I mentioned a deal at another dealership in the area and he made the offhand comment that they were scam artists. Should have been a warning sign to work with a different salesman once I got there. He may have just been inexperienced.
Deal strictly with the internet dept, make initial contract via website/email. Don’t call until you have a contract from the internet dept.
The scam artists are the ones leasing a used 29k dollar car for 467 a month.
Have you looked at the marketplace? There have been killer deals on BMWs recently. Including a 440 GC at 380 a month with 2k down.
You should call a broker or look at the marketplace.
Yeah that’s not bad. I was hoping to get to less than 400 all in for a 24 mo lease. Don’t mind a 430 or a loaner.
Is that a decent price to ask a couple of dealers for?
I was looking at the larger thread about incentives on demos/loaners and may have gotten confused about what the exact threshold is for the graduate rebate to not work.
Graduate is the only discount I’m eligible for. Ultimately I’d like to get sub 400 before ttl if possible. I was just mistaken thinking that the lowest priced vehicle eligible for lease would be a good route but maybe not.
Would a 330 work for you, some killer deals in here on them.
Hard to know but good suggestion. OP, is the 430i demo a GC or a coupe? If a GC, then take a look at the recent 3 series deals on here.
