Yeah, but the GLI is still on a 10-year old platform, whereas the GTI is on the VW Global MQB platform–which makes it a notably better car.
Oh I’m definitely with you on that one, I like the GTI better in every way–I’ve owned 3 of them in the past. I’ve been trying to rationalize spending another 70/month (spreading the drive off across the rest of the lease). The other thing is that buying the GTI wouldn’t be much more per month assuming a 72 month loan.
