Hello! Has anyone used the VPP discounts with their company on Ford? My husband works for the company and the car will be under my name so I am not too sure how to confirm that I will receive the discount - it is 2500 off and I have been reading that it is best to inform the dealer at the end of the negotiations…Thoughts? It is for a car lease. Thanks
If VPP is like x plan I think that just sets the sale price. Nothing with MF or residual.
Let them know right from the start that you have the company discount. Not only is the price fixed and shown on the invoice, they must give you a copy of the invoice if you ask for it per the rules of the program. In many states, you also receive a fixed dealer doc fee which may be much less than your state allows.
The X-plan price will be used for the lease calculations, and any additional discounts or incentives will also be allowed in most cases. Should be no problem with your husband being the employee as long as you have the same home address as him.
