Volvo EX30, Will debut on June 7th

Curiously “aggressive” sculpting on the sides, and the design doesn’t look particularly new or fresh.

But it’s a handsome and tasteful design overall.

I wonder if the “30” means it’ll be even smaller than the XC40?

Probably. Their last C30 was the smallest.

Oh god, the phone calls have started. Please make it stop

The 40 is pretty small, why go smaller?

SMART cars are out of style now.

The C40 is the same size as the Kia Niro…My Kona is 9" smaller…so Volvo does have some space.

Ugly looking car.
I don’t understand why they dont take those good looking v60/CC and turn them fully electric.

So they can’t sell v60s and your plan is to,

make them more expensive???

They’re ugly tbh. 49k starting is wild as well might as well get into the xc60 for that type of money

If you have driven them back to back, the v60 drives better.

Also v60 means lower profile and better efficiency for EV with hopefully longer range.
They are the best looking wagons on the market right now.

That’s a shame, they are def better looking that xc60 but people want SUVs
Also the 75k price doesn’t help the v60 recharge.
Even if they made a fully electric version, they will price it at 70-80k and it will not sell… again.

well… I guess I should add a footnote about price, for 60k price point for peasants like me.

That Porsche is what 120k? I mean I love a taycan cross tourismo but I can’t afford it.

Just because you do… doesn’t mean you should.

C’mon this is 'Merica… make things BIGGER not smaller.

*I say this because I sat in a C40 over the weekend and I was getting a little claustro… but then again… I’m uh… bigger boned than most.

Thought it only applied only to Texas

its volvo bro, Americans don’t drive this crap

The C40 is a little wider than the Kona/Niro. It may not be much, but it’s enough to make a difference when you try to fit two cars in a garage. I actually like the conservative styling of the electric Volvos - they look a little different, but not alien. From the video, I would think that it’s about the same size as a Kona or ID3.

If volvo can make a 330+ mile range small crossover that is reasonably priced it might do well. My guess is it will only be around 250-270 mi range. I think you need 300+ unless its a huge vehicle (think GLS, Yukon etc) sized for anything new or it needs to be super cheap.
