Volvo C40 Lease Question

I’m working with a dealer in MI on a C40 Ultimate quote for 24mo/10k thanks to all the promos going on and I had some questions because I cannot get their quote to make sense in the calculator.

Here’s my calculator link.

Here’s the info I have from the dealer:

MSRP: $62240
Selling price: $56015
Doc Fee: $260
Sales Tax: $804.72
License: $343
Title: $16
Other Fees: $1019
Incentives ($5k, $7.5k tax credit, $500 loyalty): $13000

Cash down: $2000
MSDs down: $4500
Total DAS: $6500

MF after MSDs: .00218

They are saying this all comes to: $425/mo with $6500 due at signing, but when I enter it all in the calculator I come up with a much lower cost. What am I missing?

First guess is the $2,000 you are showing as a CCR is actually $2,000 DAS.

That’s absolutely right

Got it, thanks for the updated calculator!

How does this deal look? From what I find, this is the best I can do on the MF and a pretty decent deal but I’d like to get an expert opinion.

I cannot offer an expert opinion, because my experience with this car is literally one quote from one dealer, but the offer I received in Florida on one that appears similar to yours was $499 a month including 7% tax on a zero drive off with MSDs.

10% pre rebates is terrific

The bottom feeders will always disagree and say push for more. But it’s a great deal and I’m not sure of your style. Once I have a great deal in hand I don’t care if it’s $10-15 less per month. I like both sides to leave happy.

But I also don’t know how hard you’ve pushed and what you’ve asked for. Is this their first offer? If so, sure push for more.

If you’ve been at it for a while…different story (revert to note above).

Agreed on the above. The one dealer I contacted on this car was very professional and aggressively straightforward right out of the gate which I appreciated. The car itself I was actually more impressed with than I thought I might be, but unfortunately I am afflicted with some remaining (but mild) symptoms of EQS-itis…

Is it a car you actually want and it fits your needs?

Don’t spend $12,000+ just because there was big dangling “Sale” sign hanging out front.

The incentives are just a natural reaction to how overpriced the MSRP was in the first place.

I always appreciate that strategy.

Then, it’s easy for them to say no once we ask for more
