Volvo C40 Incentive Question

Then the Core is your best bet. More than likely you have to do t/f and MSDs upfront , if you reside outside of NJ.

That or we extend the CX5 lease and hope more options become available in that price range.

I have to admit I use the 360 view a lot with the bad rear visibility (the backup camera is way too low as well), which I’m pretty sure isn’t on the core. But I don’t know if it’s worth $75

It’s a great beater if you don’t need to drive 5 people, IMO there’s no way it’ll be worth the RV in 2-3 years, so consider that aspect as well

Thanks for your input. While it’s nice to have positive equity at the end of a lease, my guess is that ship is starting to sail. The majority of its use would be as a commuter to and from work.

We have positive equity in the cx-5 that’s coming to term, but that’s more to do with it being 8k under mileage.

And you can get a hitch

What would you do…

Sign a 36/12 lease on a c40 pure w/ 2500 DAS @ roughly 400 per month.

or

Extend current cx-5 lease @ 291 per month for up to 6 months and see if better options present themselves over that time.

*Caveat - the CX5 currently has positive equity of 3k.

I would take that positive equity and sign! But I also like new cars.

Do you have a plug in your garage for the C40?

Our complex offers free charging

Hmm…free means you get AHs who plug in all day and don’t leave…lol

the XC40’s are slightly less I think, did you review the deals? at is that $2500 INCLUDING your 3k das? if so that’s a horrible price.

I don’t understand why it’s a binary choice between these two options.

Don’t the ID4, Ioniq 5, Tesla model 3 and Niro all qualify for the max $4,000 rebate to bring down their total lease cost well below the Volvo?

how much discount are you getting on the c40? how much in rebates do you qualify for?

Actually, the tenants are pretty good and with my wife working from home, she usually charges the 4xe during the day while people are out.

Being that this is technically my wife’s vehicle (albeit I’ll do 90% of the driving in it), she wants and suv - preferably with awd as we live in the northeast.

She wants nothing to do with the M3 (unfortunately). The Id4, Ioniq, and Aryia are all fwd. AWD models will take us out of the desired monthly payments and remove the majority of the incentives.

11% off with the following inceptions: 7500 Fed, 2500 Costco, 500 teacher.

i have 2 dealers doing 11% off in NY, if you want to give it a shot. Also, c40 won’t qualify for ChargeUP so no point in spending extra on NJ doc fees.

XC40 Base does however

IMO don’t overspend for something as unnecessary as AWD in NJ. It’s barely snowed the last few years except for a couple storms. Even people who work in the office stayed home regardless of what’s in their garage.

While I understand and don’t necessarily disagree. My commute from the boarder of Sussex to Bergen county can get dicey.

It blows my mind that Toyota isn’t even bringing FWD bZ4xs up here to PA, NJ, etc
