I actually like the design better than most evs out there. I don’t know why everyone has to make these so ugly and futuristic looking
Did you get the plus trim?
Nope. Eco for me
Beautiful car. Not bad. My buddy is waiting for his white ECO. Any reason why you chose to get the 7500/36mo term?
It’s a backup car
Congrats on the new ride! Keep us posted on what you like and don’t like about it over time.
The external designs of the VFs are fine… it’s the software, interior issues and driving mechanics that are getting complaints.
What about maintenance?
Is it complementary ?
3 year of rental will require some maintenance i guess.
EV doesn’t need much maintenance in first 3 years.
Only some fluids and tire rotate
If a Hyundai, year 3 is where it gets expensive.
Interesting they’re partnering with existing dealers - owner if you could eventually start ot negotiate
Now we need that “we got a car for a long test-drive” thread to follow your adventures with it in or out of service department:)
Congrats. Its a nice back up car. It looks good standing still and much better on the road.
I watched the donut video yesterday but wonder if the available inventory has the fixed suspension. Obviously the software can be updated on older cars easily but not shocks etc
They let them off so easy I have no choice but to wonder why ![]()
Like the lagging acceleration wasn’t fixed. It was just a little worse than before. Just one example of the things that were supposedly fixed.
Suspension is way better than my ford maverick, it’s good. There’s no acceleration lag in sport mode, but in eco and normal mode, it drives like a normal gas car. The main issue I have is with some software bugs and the brakes, it’s 5700 pounds and it stops as if it weighs 5700 pounds
Likely will eat tires too so have to factor that in. But I think that’s the case with all evs
That recent spat of articles seemed mostly to be about EQSs and the occasionally misaligned Tesla.
It does bring up a good question though: what brand tires come on a VinFast?
