VinFast VF Series EVs

They make mention of the battery range increasing via software update early next year, but I wonder by how much. The lease offer isn’t particularly aggressive, but I think it’s a better move than the ‘buy the car + lease the battery’ plan

They still want $5k + TTL

FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES, I AM NOT BROKERING THIS

It seems VinFast has lowered the pricing on their VF8 model by $6500, CE Edition models still get an addtional $3000 discount. The website isn’t fully reflected yet though.

It looks like Vinfast took a hink and lowered the price of their cars to “try to” compete with other EVs. Even at $50k starting, it’s a hard bargain. If VinFast were able to get figure out how to pass the $7500 commerical ev tax credit to their leases it would make this a $200 p/mo lease with the same DAS.

They increased the residual it seems so they might be passing on the 7500 via the increased residual.

don’t kill the messenger! More details are here… I think if you had already paid a deposit, they slashed prices even further to $274/mo.

But to get that monthly, they want a large down payment amount as cap cost reduction from the customer.

Effective monthly comes out $475/month.

I was at a local auto mall in Ventura, and saw several VinFast models parked in an interior showroom. The showroom did not appear to be open yet, since there was nobody/nothing around except the two cars.

The down payment in the ad is $4,425, which ends up adding $184 per month over the two year lease term.

I think VinFast is kicking back part of the $7500 tax credit to the leasee…

3 Vinfast Execs leave company.

And Irvine Spectrum is doing some kind of ‘outdoor’ thing with the VF8 this weekend, I didn’t bother to find out any details.

You are local to me :flushed:

i saw one on the streets finally the other day. Didn’t look TOO terrible

Give American boomers PTSD and their grand childer EV, Vietcong must be proud.

Any luck on canceling a reservation and getting a refund? I never signed the nonrefundable agreement. I get random calls and texts saying they are delivering VF8s but I signed up for a VF9 and that seems like a year away - plus questionable quality.

Saw the first VinFast on the actual road today:
