Turning in my Hyundai Ioniq5 lease thru US Bank. Tires are pretty much shot, but I have about 4k miles left on the lease.
Should I do the inspection and then decide to get tires replaced (planning on getting used ones anyways) or should I do it per-emptively ?
Even if you do the pre inspection they will do another inspection at lease end. If you already know you will need new tires at the end of the lease it doesn’t really matter if you put them on now or later.
As long as you’ve done the 3rd party inspection then there’s no other inspection at lease end, besides the dealer checking the odometer and giving the car a quick once-over to make sure the doors aren’t falling off.
OP: if your tires are shot then you might as well replace the tires now. At least you get the benefit of driving another 4k miles on tires with tread. Especially if you’re going with used tires, you want to do that before the inspection.
