Hello! I’m currently going through the lease transfer process with US Bank and hoping someone who has gone through it can share advice to help expedite the process.
I have a buyer whose application has been approved, but US Bank says they won’t send the transfer packet until they have the paper title. They’ve quoted that as 8 weeks!
- Generally, Is there anything I can do or prepare ahead of time to expedite the process?
- I’ve read people pay for faster shipping, but at what stage should I be offering to pay for that?
- Other posts mention sharing the US Bank lease transfer packet because it’s very generic. If someone shares the packet with me, can the buyer and I fill it out with our information, notarize, and send to US Bank, even if they haven’t mailed it to me? I don’t know if this is a document prepared by US Bank or a generic form where you add in your information.
- Is it currently taking 8 weeks to receive a paper title? I’ve read online it takes about 2 weeks.
