Timeline / Best Practices for TFS Lease Transfer

Hello Hackrs

I’m curious who has gone through a lease transfer via TFS, how long it took, and both best practices and things to avoid.

I know that following up to make sure paperwork is received is important, as is overnighting anything that needs to be in ink, etc…

Call them ASAP. If they are still using paper credit apps, you’ll need the packet sent to you right away.

Thanks @max_g – kind of shocking how analog their process is. They have to mail me the package, and then I have to get the credit app part to the transferee.

How long did your process take?

In 2017 it took a few weeks. Helps if the transferee can overnight the packet after filling it out.
