My current lease will be up in the summer. I want to get a model X next (Need FSD+3 row). I think lease or buy I’ll probably keep it for 3 years and move on. With the news of it being discontinued, any thoughts on if I should lease new or buy used?
I was under the impression that with ev incentives gone, getting a used car would make more sense but surprised by how low the used inventory is for HW4 3 row units. Maybe it will go up later this year because of lease returns?
I’d buy it used and get an extended warranty put on it:
Our 2022 Model X had the most problematic falcon doors. They constantly would not open all the way. Sensors were change multiple times. Struts were changed. Ultimately took the loss and moved on. I’d never consider that car again.
Yea I really hesitate to get a Tesla especially model X due to its quality concerns. Would happily pay more for another brand if they can get close to FSD. Maybe in three years there would be solid competition which is why I only want model x to cover me for that time.
