You can also have an āunfortunate accidentā and POOF it disappears off your credit. lol jk but seriously the only way to get out of this one is to PAY someone to take it over which may be challenging unless you are offering them a far better deal than going new. I sold high-end cars and most of them who can afford a $1000-1500 want it new even if it costs extra as they are already paying a high payment. Best of luck to you!

I know youāre being sarcastic but obviously you didnāt look up that there are 8.7 million job openings right now. Roughly double the level of any time during 45s ābest economy everā presidency.
I should clarify I found a new job 5 months ago and have been making the payments since getting laid off from my previous job but am realizing now that I can probably only afford the lease payments on this vehicle for ruffly another two months due to other bills on my plate.
However, the new job is in my field but pays nearly half of what my old job paid.
I come to find out I was vastly overpaid at my old job for my marketable skills plus experience and geographic area.
And, no other new job that paid something that allowed me to afford this vehicle was interested in me.
Honestly, thereās nothing anyone can do other than hope someone takes this without checking the tesla website. Tesla doesnāt allow buy outs and youāre gonna have to throw a huge incentive to get out of this.
While you donāt necessarily need to abide by a legal obligation or contract for moral purposes, there are absolutely ways in which you can royally screw yourself if you willfully violate the agreement. And one Turo renter accident could bring the whole situation to a head.
I canāt say exactly what OP agreed to but for sake of argument if thereās a clause that allows them to immediately ācall in the loanā, and make you responsible for the shortfall, could be on the hook for tens of thousands of dollars and put credit at risk.
Definitely ground Iād tread carefully. Why make a small problem into a much larger one.

Employment fell by over 22 million during Covid. And we are to be happy we still havenāt filled 7 million of them? Wow what a great success!!!
