The down payment is just one part of that drive-off amount. It’s the portion of money you put down specifically to reduce your monthly payments.
So basically:
Drive-off amount = down payment + all the other upfront costs.

The drive-off amount posted on each deal already includes all fees and taxes (first month’s payment, registration, dealer fees, etc).
The only fee not included in that number is the broker fee.
So to be more specific:
