Hello All ,
I grounded a Texas leased Mercedes-Benz EQS through MBFS on April 29. I am looking for a new MBFS lease this month and want to confirm if a tax transfer is possible to get 0% sales tax on the new contract.
For those who have done this in Texas:
-
Is this transfer possible and did the dealer process the 0% tax swap smoothly using standard Comptroller Form 130-U waiver codes?
-
Did you need to provide anything other than your grounded vehicle’s VIN or previous MBFS account number?
-
Did any dealers try to confuse this personal tax transfer with their own store-allocated lender tax credits?
Looking for recent Texas data points or experiences with MBFS to see if this is possible. Thanks!
